Topwater Sportfishing - 25ft Contender

Our 25ft Contender centre console vessel offers private full day outer reef charters on the Great Barrier Reef. Without question this is a world renowned vessel for its hardcore sportfishing capabilities.

Actual topwater lure sportfishing is this boat’s speciality using a variety of techniques including jigging, surface lures, poppers, trolling and also bottom fishing. Target species on the outer reef include coral trout, red emperor, nannygai, giant trevally and Spanish mackerel to name just a few. In season we will also target small black marlin in the cooler months and also for yellowfin tuna, wahoo, dolphin fish, sailfish and potential big black marlin in the warmer months utilising stand up gear close to the continental shelf. 

The boat has twin 220hp Yamaha 4 stroke engines so it moves at around 30 knots reaching far destinations in short time if required. The hull design offers a really comfortable ride on the water and being a centre console it has a full walk around deck custom made for sportfishing. With the right weather & tides it is also perfect for getting right on top of the reef opening up all sorts of possibilities. It's equipped with all the latest gear and navionics for all styles of sportfishing. 

Your trip includes all high end tackle, bait and soft drinks are supplied. There is a toilet on board for your convenience. Lunches and alcohol are BYO. Eskies and ice supplied. All legal catches are cleaned and conveniently bagged for you to take home.

This charter is 100% proudly locally owned and operated and available all year round.

• If a passenger cancels a tour within a 7 day period from the starting time, a cancellation fee of 100% applies.
• If a passenger cancels a tour outside the 7 day period, passengers have the option of changing their day of travel or a refund .
• Should passengers not turn up to the specified pick up point or departure point without notification during the 7 day period, a full cancellation fee will apply.
• A change of travel date will not incur a cancellation fee if 7 day's notice is given.
• On occasions, our full day fishing adventure can be subject to the effect of weather or unforeseen circumstances. If a tour is cancelled by us for any reason, passengers will be offered a full refund or an alternative day of travel.
• Refunds will only be given to the person or company that made the booking and payment.
• No refunds will be given for “no shows”
