This classic 35ft blue water quarter-horse vessel has personally witnessed some of the most exciting fishing to be experienced on The Great Barrier Reef with over 20yrs of operation on our local waters.
Crewed and owned by a dedicated local team you are in the best of hands.
Based in Port Douglas, Saltaire is available for Reef Fishing charters by private charter only. It is a Custom Made vessel built specifically for the Great Barrier Reef conditions and is beautifully designed for daily and extended trips.
Trips can include reef fishing, light tackle fishing, Giant Trevally Popper Fishing and also adventure cruising opportunities to Sand Cays, tropical islands and private reef systems full of amazing aquatic life. Snorkelling and diving can be part of your day. Overnight charters can further include extending to the incredible Hope Isles, the Ribbon Reefs & Lizard Island.
With comfort, speed and great service on your side you will be amongst the serious action on offer including coral trout, giant trevally, red emperor, nannygai, spanish mackerel amongst a host of others. Boat features include fantastic high speed twin 275hp engines with a cruising speed of 24 knots, express way layout, enclosed head, air conditioned sleeping quarters, the latest of navionics and only the very best of all fishing gear and tackle.
Your personalised trip also includes morning/afternoon tea, tropical lunch and soft beverages. All bait and absolute high end tackle supplied. Snorkel gear provided if requested (Diving on Application). Alcohol is BYO with eskies and ice provided. All legal catches are cleaned and conveniently bagged for you to take home.
On extended trips, further inclusions are all meals and accommodation bedding.

Charters
All daily & extended reef charters depart at 8.30am returning by 4.30pm from the Port Douglas Yacht Club opposite the main marina.
Private Charters Only
- $3300 per day – Max. 8 pax.
- Snorkelling available on request with gear supplied. Diving POA.
Please note:
- A 7 Day 100% cancellation fee applies prior to the starting time on daily charters and 30 days on extended charters.
- All trips are subject to weather.
- A 1.6% surcharge applies for credit card payments or, with notice, we can supply direct banking details which incurs no surcharge. If you wish to pay via a direct bank deposit, you will need to do so at least outside of the cancellation window stated above. You will also need to supply a screenshot of the payment confirmation for us to accept the booking.
