This high end 40ft O'Brien vessel is perfect for your Great Barrier Reef fishing adventure covering all your angling aspirations.

Crewed and owned by a very enthusiastic local team you are in the best of hands with a generation of experience fishing FNQ waters. Ghost is a custom-made vessel built specifically for the Great Barrier Reef conditions and is beautifully designed for daily and extended trips.

Based in Port Douglas, Ghost is available for trips which can include reef fishing, light tackle fishing, stand up tackle marlin fishing in season, Giant Trevally Popper Fishing and adventure cruising opportunities to Sand Cays, tropical islands, and private reef systems full of amazing aquatic life. Snorkelling can also be part of your day. Overnight charters can further include extending to the incredible Hope Isles, the Ribbon Reefs & Lizard Island.

The boat features include fantastic high-speed twin 550hp Cummins engines with a cruising speed of 24 knots, spacious open layout, enclosed head / shower, air-conditioned saloon with sleeping quarters for 4 people, the latest of navionics and only the very best of all fishing gear and tackle.

Your exclusive daily trip also includes morning/afternoon tea, tropical lunch, and soft beverages. All bait and absolute high-end tackle supplied. Snorkel gear provided if requested. Alcohol is BYO with eskies and ice provided. All legal catches are cleaned and conveniently bagged for you to take home.

On extended trips, further inclusions are all meals and comfortable accommodation bedding. Alcohol is BYO with eskies and ice provided. All legal catches are cleaned and conveniently bagged for you to take home.

This charter is 100% proudly locally owned and operated and available all year round.

All daily & extended charters depart at 8.00am returning by 4.30pm from the Port Douglas Marina. Lizard Island, Cooktown, Cairns & Port Douglas departures possible during Marlin season only.

Private Charters Only

Daily Reef / Light Tackle / Stand Up Marlin Fishing
$3700 per day – Max. 6 pax. Snorkelling available on request with gear supplied. (available all year round)

Extended Reef / Light Tackle Trips / Stand Up Marlin Fishing
$3900 per day - Max. 4 pax (available all year round, minimum 2 days)

Extended Heavy Tackle Trips
$4200 per day - Max. 4 pax (available October to December, minimum 3 days). Lizard Island, Cooktown, Cairns & Port Douglas departures are possible only during this period. POA for alternate departures outside of Port Douglas.

Please note:

A 7 Day 100% cancellation fee applies prior to the starting time on daily charters and 30 days on extended charters.
All trips are subject to weather.
A 1.6% surcharge applies for credit card payments or, with notice, we can supply direct banking details which incurs no surcharge. If you wish to pay via a direct bank deposit, you will need to do so at least outside of the cancellation window stated above. You will also need to supply a screenshot of the payment confirmation for us to accept the booking.
