Exceed Sportfishing Port Douglas - Reef Fishing

Our 25ft Haines Hunter centre console vessel offers coastal and reef charters for half and full day charters.

Personally guided by our experienced skipper with 10 years experience on local waters you are well and truly on your way to having a wonderful fishing experience. The service, equipment and your want of a great fishing experience is at a premium.

Half day coastal and full day outer reef trips are available. Actual sportfishing is this boat’s speciality using a variety of techniques including jigging, surface lures, poppers, trolling and also bottom fishing. Target species both coastally and outer reef include coral trout, red emperor, nannygai, giant trevally to name just a few. In season we will also target small black marlin in the cooler months and also for yellowfin tuna, wahoo, dolphin fish, sailfish and marlin in the warmer months.

The boat has twin 220hp Yamaha 4 stroke engines so it moves at around 30 knots reaching far destinations in short time if required. The hull design offers a really comfortable ride on the water and being a centre console it has a full walk around deck custom made for sportfishing. The boat has all the latest Penn fishing gear onboard and the size of the vessel offers a lot of room and comfort for small personal groups. The vessel is equipped with the latest technology including a state of the art Simrad fish finder/ plotter which finds the fish even whilst travelling at speed. It is a lot of boat for a great rate.

Your trip includes all high end tackle, bait and soft drinks are supplied. Lunches and alcohol are BYO. Eskies and ice supplied. All legal catches are cleaned and conveniently bagged for you to take home.

This charter is 100% proudly locally owned and operated and available all year round.

Charters

All charters start at 7am for morning half and full day & 12pm afternoon half day departing from the Port Douglas Boat Ramp in town next to the famous Tin Shed Combined Club, Ashford Avenue.

Half Day Coastal / Duration 4 hrs

  • Private $800 max. 5

3/4 qtr Day Reefs, Wrecks & Wonky Holes / Duration 6 hrs

  • Private Only $1300 max. 5

Outer Reef / Duration 8 hrs

  • Private $1700 max. 5

Please note:

  • All coastal and offshore trips are subject to weather.
  • A credit card is required to secure the booking with full payment taken 5 days prior. We also require contact numbers and email.
  • A 1.6% surcharge applies for credit card payments or, with notice, we can supply direct banking details which incurs no surcharge. If you wish to pay via a direct bank deposit, you will need to do so at least outside of the cancellation window stated above. You will also need to supply a screenshot of the payment confirmation for us to accept the booking.

Cancellations:

  • If a passenger cancels a tour within the 72 hour period, a cancellation fee of 100% applies.
  • If a passenger cancels a tour outside the 72 hour period, passengers have the option of changing their day of travel or will be provided with a refund in the same form that payment was made.
  • Should passengers not turn up to the specified pick up point or departure point without notification during the 72 hour period, a full cancellation fee will apply.
  • A change of travel date will not incur a cancellation fee if 72 hours notice is given.
  • On rare occasions, our full day fishing adventure can be subject to the effect of weather or unforeseen circumstances. If a tour is cancelled by Norseman for any reason, passengers will be offered a full refund or an alternative day of travel.
  • Refunds will only be given to the person or company that made the booking and payment.
  • No refunds will be given for “no shows”
