MV Norseman

The name, MV Norseman has been a household name for decades in Port Douglas enhancing your opportunity to catch quality reef fish on the Great Barrier Reef and the perfect fit for larger private groups.

The impressive new MV Norseman is an 18m (60ft) purpose-designed and custom-made vessel. It is powered by two Detroit Diesel series 60, 6 cylinder turbo engines and is capable of speeds up to 25 knots. It can comfortably accommodate up to 20 passengers on private daily charters. Furthermore it can cater for extra passengers POA. Ideal for business / corporate groups, bucks days or family & friend gatherings. 

The vessel features an air-conditioned multi-seated / tabled saloon with bar, under cover expansive rear deck including a duckboard/sport fishing platform, under cover upper deck seating, shower and toilet facilities.The skipper's wheel house is fitted with state-of-the-art navigation, 3D bottom imaging, radar and sounders. 

We provide passengers with the option of either rods or handlines, all bait and high quality tackle is included. 

A smorgasbord tropical lunch is provided as well as morning / afternoon tea. Drinks including soft drinks / bottled water are complementary.  Beer, wine and basic spirits are available for purchase on board this licenced vessel (No BYO of alcohol).

The multitude of fish that can be caught on the Great Barrier Reef is expansive and can include spanish mackerel, red emperor, coral trout, sea perch and trevally to name just a few. Your legal catch is cleaned, chilled & bagged for departure.
